Dental Insurance

Dental Insurance is provided requiring no contribution for individual coverage. Eligible employees may choose to use a DMO/PPO network or a private "out-of-network" provider.

Life Insurance & AD&D

Life Insurance benefit is an amount equal to two (2) times your annual salary to a maximum of up to $250,000.00. The premium is paid in full by CP of NYS.

Pension Plan

Eligible employees are enrolled in the agency’s pension plan, which is a "non contributory" defined contribution plan (401A).  Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State contributes to the pension plan in the amount of five percent (5%) of the employee’s salary.  There is a gradual vesting schedule.  With six (6) years of employment (assuming the employee completed 1,000 hours of service each year), eligible employees are 100% vested.

Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan

As an additional way to plan for retirement, several optional 403B-tax deferred annuity plans are available. Employees participate by authorizing monies obtained through payroll deduction to be invested in individually selected investment fund options offered through several investment companies. The deducted monies and the interest earned are tax-exempt until you withdraw part, or all of your account.  Detailed information regarding optional 403B plans are available in the Human Resources Department.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Employees may deduct pre-tax monies from their paychecks to set up a Dependent Care Expense account to cover childcare expenses or an Unreimbursed Medical Expense account for expenses not paid for by health insurance. Employee premium contributions for medical dental insurance can also be deducted on a pre-tax basis.

Tuition Assistance

Full-time employees with 6 or more months of service may submit for partial reimbursement of the cost of tuition of up to $1,000 per semester ($2,000 maximum per year). All courses must be job related and approved in advance.
