Residential Services
Community Living Services (Residential services)
Metro Services offers one of the most comprehensive Community Living Service programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in the nation. It is home for over 425 adults and children with developmental disabilities, affording the opportunity to live in apartment or group home settings located throughout the New York City area. Specialized living arrangements are available for individuals with developmental disabilities along with chronic health conditions.
Each consumer receives individualized services specific to their unique needs and desires to learn skills necessary to live as independently as possible. Families are invited to participate fully in program planning and visits are encouraged. A comprehensive variety of support services are incorporated that include: nursing and primary health care management, nutrition, psychology, rehabilitation therapy, recreation and community integration, and service coordination. Our goal is to enable individuals with developmental disabilities to live in community settings with supervision and needed supports.
