How You Can Help Cerebral Palsy Associations of NYS, Metro Services

Volunteering for Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State
We welcome all volunteers who want to make a difference in the life of someone with a disability.

  • Empower people with disabilities to participate more fully in their communities, and enjoy recreational activities or trips.
  • Be the person who offers a smile and some extra attention during daily activities at home or in day program.
  • Share your musical, artistic or other talent.
  • Participate with our photography or ceramic programs.
  • Assist our job coaches who help individuals gain and maintain employment.
  • Connect with nature in the Community Garden Project.
  • Assist in special events, such as the Annual Exceptional Art show.
  • Show you care through letters and cards to a pen pal.
  • Extra hands are needed for periodic large mailings


  • Do you need to perform community service to graduate?
  • Are you looking to explore a new career path?

    • Weekend, evening and weekday hours are available
    • Hours are flexible
    • Activities available for groups
    • Opportunities range from one-time events to ongoing service

Donating to Metro Services, Cerebral Palsy Association of NYS
Cerebral Palsy Association s of New York State is a not-for-profit corporation that is tax exempt pursuant to Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your donation enables the agency to carry out its mission of ensuring the quality of life for persons with disabilities.

CP of NYS does not actively solicit donations in deference's to its Affiliates activities, but will accept donor-designated donations.

How to donate to Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State, Metro Services
You may make a donation in honor of a special occasion, in memory of a loved one, to thank a special person, or simply show your support for our program and the work it does.

Complete copies of the Annual Financial Report and auditor's report may be reviewed at the office of Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State, at 330 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001.

Legislative Advocacy
Individuals with disabilities, along with their friends and family, need to tell their political representatives how they feel about current issues affecting them. Cerebral Palsy Associations of NYS maintains a legislative section to keep you updated on issues, and linked to other important sites.
