NY Senators Schumer and Gillibrand already oppose the American Health Care Act, but many of our NYS Representatives support it. We need to explain to these Representatives that Medicaid cuts would be disastrous for people with developmental disabilities and New York State.

More than 30 statewide organizations representing health care and human service workers, providers of supports and services, people with disabilities, and others are asking New York’s Congressional Delegation to reject the American Health Care Act recently passed by the House of Representatives.
We are deeply disappointed and saddened that the American Health Care Act (AHCA) passed the House of Representatives. We hope that the United States Senate will choose public policy over politics and a path that considers the welfare of the many and not cater to the powerful and connected few who will benefit from this legislation.
